Week of July 29th...1 week until first official practice!

Hi Jaguar fans and families...

The time is getting close for our first official practice.  Its a magical time of year that the athletes only get to experience 4 times in their lives - when teams across the state come together to relive old traditions, begin new dynasties, and let the rubber meet the road/trail with the enthusiasm that new beginnings bring.

Last week was a solid week for the team as Coach McHenry had great turnouts at Mastick and the campers in Orangeville ran exceptionally well.  The biggest key now is to keep building up without breaking down.  Camp athletes should keep running, but bring the mileage down 5-10 miles, but keep working on improving your average pace.  Get faster.  Those who weren't at camp should keep building.

This week conditioning days will be Monday, Wed, and Friday all at 6:00pm at Mastick.  There may or may not be a coach in attendance, so if parents are uncomfortable with captain led practices please stay nearby or of course keep your daughter home.  I will try to have some alums, etc...come down to provide stability.  Coach McHenry WILL be at Friday's practice for certain.

Remember, for next Monday (next week's schedule will be sent early enough) you MUST have the following!!

Reminders:
First practice August 5th at SJA from 8-10am.
You MUST have multiple forms/paperwork completed, but primarily the OHSAA physical HAS to be done.
OHSAA 6 page physical form (the physical is good for one year)
EMA form (these only need to be done once each year now)
Student Handbook Signature Page

Scroll to the bottom of the athletics page for the links to all the forms.  Print them up and sign them PLEASE!  Especially all the signatures on the physical.  Be responsible and have it done and ready for August 5th (or whenever your first practice is).

Please also get a simple watch with a stopwatch feature on it!  It does NOT have to be fancy.

Get good shoes on your feet too!

Contact me if you have questions or problems or concerns.

thanks!  Coach Kieser and Coach McHenry
